Window of Opportunities transforms the Boston CyberArts window space into a site for experimentation, play, and collective discovery. Located at the intersection of public transportation, pedestrian movement, and digital art, the windows become both a threshold and a screen: a place where inside and outside, observer and participant, physical and digital experience overlap.
For one evening, artists Yue Hua and Shozab Raza’s Window of Opportunities activate the four-window storefront and its surrounding public space through light, projection, motion, and audience interaction. Using TouchDesigner, motion tracking, projection, and optical effects, the installation responds to the presence and movement of people in the space, turning everyday pedestrian activity into an audiovisual experience.
The project turns the window into more than something to look through, placing the viewer within the image itself. Movement becomes a form of participation; the passing body becomes a source of visual transformation. The familiar storefront is temporarily reimagined as a porous interface between the street and the gallery.
Also featured is Paul Turano’s Hammock Poem, an early-summer reverie that invites the body to give itself over to the sway. Together, the works create an evening of movement, light, and sensory encounter – where the rhythms of the street become intertwined with digital and physical forms of play.
